Tesla Number Plates
With fuel prices constantly on the rise (and oil reserves continuing to deplete overtime), we are aware of the gravity of the global issues we face today. Continuing to burn fossil fuels and contributing more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere will only further secure our fate towards extinction. This is why our society needs to transition to using renewable, clean forms of energy in all aspects of life, including transportation. Replacing your old car with a new electric one will: significantly decrease your carbon footprint; save you hundreds – if not, thousands – each year on fuel costs, and above all will entitle you to several free benefits when you purchase our luxury Tesla number plates.
Bespoke to your size requirements, our Tesla number plates come in standard, 3D and 4D designs. You can visit our Number Plate Builder to design your own Tesla number plates.
Originally founded and incorporated on July 1 2003, Tesla has, since its inception, geared all its research and development towards producing energy-efficient electric cars; subsequently, setting an incredibly competitive market for developing and producing more advanced, and more powerful electric cars. With a revenue of $18.76B, and a valuation of $31.98B (this is not market capitalisation, where Tesla has been valued at over $1T) , Tesla has become the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles on the planet. Additionally, in 2020, Tesla alongside 27 other companies entered a corporate federation coalition together, forming the Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA), with a primary aim to transition all internal combustion vehicles to electric.
This is why we at JDM Plates know it’s in your best interests to replace your stock number plates with new, electric Tesla number plates. You can order your Tesla number plates today!
Trials & Tribulations
Albeit the greater motifs of Tesla appear genuine and progressive, sadly, Tesla’s image has become mired in controversy, cultural backlash and scandals within only a relatively short span of 10-20 years. Its celebrity-CEO and wealthiest individual on the planet, Elon Musk, has outspoken political and socio-economic views, alongside using his social presence to spread misinformation about recent events, including the COVID-19 pandemic which also transpired into how he conducted the organisation of his factories during the lockdown periods – in some cases, his business practices were considered unlawful at best.
Partly why Musk’s views have tied him into scandals are because they deeply contradict his own actions. For example, he does not believe the US government – or, indeed, any government – should provide subsidies to companies. This is despite Tesla itself receiving billions of dollars from government-initiated projects; federal government reserves; tax credits and has generated much of its revenue from its sales of carbon credits granted to the company by international institutions including the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and the Chinese national emissions trading scheme (ETS).
Even since their first model came into service, the Roadster (2009), was lambasted on the BBC programme Top Gear by presenter Jeremy Clarkson; critiquing them for having broken down or ran out of charge after running on their track for 55 miles (far less than the 211 miles they should be able to travel from a full charge) and that it would take over 16 hours to fully recharge. Spokespeople from Tesla alleged that the Top Gear production team fabricated this incident, and deliberately used the cars on a lower battery level; lied about one of the car’s brakes faulting and under a separate review, found only one of the fuses had blown which could have easily been fixed.
Although Tesla lost their court case after the trial concluded that the episode of Top Gear did not have any substantial impact on Tesla’s sales, the Tesla team persist with their message in regards to how the episode from top Gear impacted both their brand image, their sales and the trust in their share value. One employee who worked for Tesla even claimed to have found a script left unattended, detailing this event being planned for entertainment purposes.
More recently, both the personal life and potential violation of Tesla’s own Code of Ethics when Musk entered into a relationship with one of his employees, in addition to the DFEH’s (California Department of Fair Employment and Housing) lawsuit against Tesla for Race Discrimination and Harassment, specifically in Tesla’s Fremont Factory, has been downplayed, deflected and dismissed as a ‘misguided lawsuit’ by Tesla as nothing more than an individual issue of which they refuse to voluntarily readdress. Instead, their statement attempts to move from the actual subject of conversation, and gratify themselves with all the ‘achievements’ and ‘successes’ they have brought for their employees, and to California.

What Size Are Tesla Number Plates
It might seem like quite a strange question as all number plates are generally the size size / thickness as standard but in recent times, number plates can also come in a range of thicknesses.
To accommodate the front number plate bracket on a Tesla, number plates for Tesla cars need to be 1mm thick. Our premium acrylic number plates are 3mm thick which means that these will physically not fit within the OEM number plate bracket but JDM Plates can also offer 1mm thick MetaTek number plates which are essentially 1mm thick metal number plates.
So, if you are coming to the end of your leasing period and need to return your Tesla back to stock before exchanging for something different and need to replace your custom number plates to something standard; then feel free to get in touch to order your replacement 1mm thick number plates.
Although we cannot speak on behalf of Tesla, we at JDM Plates produce all our Tesla number plates in a safe and ethical environment, and pride ourselves on our own accountability to all our customers.
